PACKAGING

When it comes to packaging, the RM750 is packed in quite the familiar CORSAIR flair of black and yellow. You’re given the basic details printed around the box for you to peruse, stuff like efficiency, CORSAIR’s 10-year guarantee, inclusions, features, compatibility and specifications.

When it comes to the inclusions, the RM750 comes with pretty much the necessary items to get you started. There’s the RM750 itself, flat black, low-profile modular cables, a power cable, and some paper work.

FEATURES

CORSAIR’s RM750 features carefully selected high-quality, low-noise capacitors and transformers to eliminate coil whine and other background noise. And because of its efficiency, you’ll get less heat. It features a Zero RPM fan mode for a nicely quiet setup. On the other hand, when you’re going all out, the RM750’s thermal sensor controls the fan speed to keep things cooled, all without the extra noise.

The RM750 also uses the company’s NR135L noise-reducing fan that features an optimized blade profile for low-turbulence airflow and near-silent operation even at full speed. 

DESIGN

When it comes to the RM750’s design, it’s unassuming and subtle to say the least. No edgy designs here to make a statement. Let the performance back it up.

Gotta love the flexibility and neatness you’ll have with fully modular PSUs, and that’s what the RM750 is all about.  Installation is also quite easy and straightforward that you won’t have any issues with getting it all set up. Furthermore, the low-profile modular cables are flat and black, so you cable management will be a breeze here, and you don’t have to worry about clutters. No ketchup and mustard even.

PERFORMANCE

This is more of a run-through and personal run with the RM750 than an actual review, so with that said we’ll be formulating our results based on our system setup and tested loads on it. For starters, we’ve been using it as our PSU for our review platform – that’s with a Ryzen 5 3600X cooled with a Noctua NH-U12a, AMD Radeon RX 5700XT/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. This would typically put the system load to 250W to 300W at best when put to the test. And even with that system noise is still silent.

INITIAL FINDINGS

CORSAIR has a longstanding reputation when it comes to PSUs that it’s been a personal choice for us, and for good reason. Now looking into the CORSAIR RM750, that belief still holds true. During our run with it, we never experienced any system issues. While that may be purely anecdotal at this point, we’d never dare risk settling for less for our platform where everything we do is literally in there. It being fully modular is a welcomed feature, even. Noise output is barely there, even.

Now, when it comes to value for money, the CORSAIR RM750 is currently valued at around the Php7,000 mark. Here’s what you’ll be getting, an 80 Plus Gold 750W power supply, full modularity, superb quiet performance, and CORSAIR’s reputable customer service. That’s easily worth the price of admission.
