There’s plenty of options to go with if you’re looking for a memory that will fit right in with the theme of your system. But if you’re looking for something that offers performance and reliability yet doesn’t skimp on aesthetics, the selection does get narrower. Enter the Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 Special Edition, whiteness overload with RGB on top. And that’s what we’re going to look at today.

UNBOXING AND DESIGN

The FURY Beast DDR4 Special Edition is offered in single modules and kits of 16GB and 32GB. So for this one, it's enclosed in a blister pack, with most of the necessary information printed around the cardboard, and in a plastic enclosure is where all the magic is. And there it is, the FURY Beast DDR4 Special Edition in all its classiness.

Inside that plastic shell are the two modules and a FURY sticker, which is always a welcomed addition because why not? 

As for the DIMMs themselves, the FURY Beast DDR4 Special Edition comes with a beautiful matte eggshell like texture on the heat spreader, and the RGB curves accentuate it greatly. Kingston’s branding placement on the heat spreader are done sparingly, perhaps with the thought of avoiding the clutter and keeping up with its clean look. It’s definitely a good looking kit.

SOFTWARE

You can control the RGB using the Kingston FURY CTRL Software. From there, you can change the brightness levels, effects and sequences, and even the specific color you want (you can customize 10 LEDs here a piece). Just to note, some of the effects will only be available if you have four DIMMs installed in your system. 

Just gotta love how the voltage effect plays out. It’s beautiful and entertaining to look at. Oh, and Kingston's Infrared Sync also comes into play here for that perfect RGB sync.  Not that we'd need it for our static setup for an all-white build since that's all we'll need anyway, but should the need arise there's that having your back.

PERFORMANCE

Okay, so we showcased this on our NZXT N7 B550 Motherboard for that all-white setup that we wanted, but for this one we checked out its performance on our GIGABYTE A520I AC system because our test system with the AORUS X570 ELITE motherboard is out of commission, for now.

CONCLUSION

If you're going for thematic here, or you want something that's stylish and can accentuate your system, then the Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 Special Edition memory can work wonders. Performance is strong, and XMP profile is quick and stable. And if RGB is your thing, there are plenty of customizations available, you can even tune it to your desired setting by LEDs if you want something unique. When it comes to pricing though, there are other cheaper alternatives. But then again, aesthetics do add up to the cost by a bit so there's that to consider, too. And hey, considering Kingston's longstanding reputation backing it up with a lifetime warranty, that does work in your favor.  

DDR4 is still doing well, and it'll be a while before we ditch that standard. So, if you're out in the market for new memory with the performance you need and the style to match, the Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 Special Edition can definitely get anyone's attention.
